AN OUTREACH MINISTRY OF "HILLSIDE PARK BAPTIST CHURCH"

Coping with Cancer through Christ is a support group made up of survivors of all different types of cancer.  Our Pastor has survived cancer three times as well.  But, this ministry is not exclusive to those within our church.  It is our desire to reach out into our community and help those who are affected by cancer, through support with prayer and fellowship.  We want them to know that they are not alone in their battle with cancer.  We meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 in our church fellowship hall.  Light refreshments are provided at each meeting.

Our outreach ministry consists of baskets with beanies in them that some of the ladies within the church have made.  We currently have baskets at the Lexington Cancer Center and at the Derrick L Davis Hematology and Oncology Clinic in Lexington.  We also setup a ministry table at Relay for Life in Lexington in the month of May to pass out bible tracks, ribbons and other handsome items.  This past July was our first time setting up our ministry table for the week at the Southeast Thresher's Reunion in Denton, NC.  It is such a blessing to be able to reach out to others and have them share their experiences with us.

If you or someone you know could benefit from the interaction of this group, we would love to have you join us.
